What is AI literacy training under the EU AI Act?

It helps people understand the capabilities, limitations and risks of the AI they use or oversee, and apply appropriate rules, verification and escalation in their role.

Different roles need different understanding.

A general user needs to recognise confidential inputs, unreliable outputs and approved-use boundaries. A manager overseeing an AI-supported decision needs to understand automation bias, review responsibilities and when to intervene. Procurement and governance roles need stronger supplier and risk questions.

Blanche adapts the content to the people, AI systems and context rather than presenting one generic awareness session to everyone.

Connect the rules to daily work.

Training uses examples such as summarising a customer document, drafting a candidate email, checking an AI-generated answer or responding to an unusual system recommendation. Staff learn what is allowed, what needs verification and when to stop and escalate.

  • How generative AI and AI-enabled software can fail
  • Personal, confidential and commercially sensitive information
  • Bias, hallucinations and output verification
  • Approved tools and prohibited uses
  • Human oversight and incident reporting

Show what was provided and to whom.

The delivery can include attendance records, role groups, learning material, acknowledgement and recommended refresh points. This gives management a practical record while keeping the programme proportionate.

Training is strongest when paired with a clear AI policy and escalation route, so people can apply what they learn after the session ends.

Clear sequence. Clear ownership.

Useful answers before you start.

01Does every employee need the same AI training?+

No. Content and depth should reflect the person's role, the systems they use and the people or information their work can affect.

02Is a one-hour awareness session enough?+

It can be a useful foundation for lower-risk use, but higher-impact roles may need deeper system-specific instruction, practice and periodic refreshers.

03Can training cover our own AI policy?+

Yes. Linking training to approved tools, data rules, verification and incident procedures makes the guidance more useful and easier to evidence.

04Do participants receive a professional certification?+

Blanche can provide attendance or completion evidence for the agreed programme, but it does not present internal training as an external professional certification.
