EU AI Act clarity for businesses using AI

DOES THE AI ACT
APPLY TO YOU?

If your team uses GenAI or AI-enabled business software, the EU AI Act may already matter. Find out what needs attention, which service fits and what it may cost.

IS YOUR TEAM
ALREADY USING
AI AT WORK?

You do not need to build AI for the rules to matter.

Everyday tools, AI-enabled software and employee-led GenAI use can create governance, literacy, transparency and risk-management questions.

Start with what your business actually does with AI.

01

Employees use GenAI

ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude or Perplexity for emails, research, summaries or content.

AI-use rules, literacy, confidentiality and output checks may be needed.
02

HR uses AI-supported tools

Recruitment, candidate screening, employee evaluation or workforce decisions.

AI affecting people may require closer classification and oversight.
03

AI faces your customers

Chatbots, automated support, recommendations or AI-generated public content.

Transparency, human escalation and customer-facing controls may matter.
04

You integrate or sell AI

AI features are built into products, services or systems supplied to others.

Your role and obligations may be more extensive than those of an ordinary user.
ARTICLE 4

Providers and deployers must take measures supporting AI literacy for staff and others using AI systems on their behalf.

QUESTIONS,
ANSWERED
CLEARLY.

01Does every company using AI need an AI policy?+

Not every business needs the same level of documentation. But if your team uses AI at work, clear rules are a sensible starting point. The policy should match the AI your people actually use and the information they handle.

02Does the EU AI Act apply if we only use ChatGPT or Copilot?+

Potential obligations depend on how the AI is used and your role in relation to it. Everyday GenAI can still raise governance, privacy, confidentiality and verification questions. Blanche starts with the use case, not the logo on the tool.

03What is AI literacy?+

AI literacy means giving people the knowledge and understanding they need to use or oversee AI appropriately in their role. Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires providers and deployers to take AI-literacy measures for staff and other people who operate or use AI systems on their behalf. The right measures depend on the people, the AI and the context of use.

04Can we start with one package and expand later?+

Yes. Blanche projects can be delivered in phases. If your needs grow, completed work can be reused rather than repeated. Eligible clients moving to a higher package within six months may receive a continuity credit against the new scope, subject to the work remaining reusable.

05How do we know whether our AI system is high-risk?+

Classification is context-specific. Purpose, the decisions the system supports, the people affected and your role all matter. A preliminary screen can show when a deeper assessment is needed, but it is not a definitive legal classification.
